Halflings

The Halflings are disinterested in the politics of the other nations and live in roving settlements of clans in The Northern Plains of Ra’el.
The Halflings in Ra’el don’t formally belong to any of The Four Nations, but instead prefer to keep as far away from politics as their little legs will take them. They call The Northern Plains their home and travel in caravans, rotating their use of the land while raising livestock like goats, cattle, and pigs, and gathering the wild wheat from the rolling hills around the lakes and rivers where they make camp.
Some Halflings wander more than others and make their own way into the wide world by settling down in one of the capital cities of The Four Nations. An even smaller group of Halflings go on to take up the life of an adventurer, some never returning to their “strange gypsy cousins” while others make a point to return to their roots on a yearly basis.
The Halflings of the Plains don’t worship Remiscus or Demiscus as The Four Nations do, instead preferring to pray to Yondalla, The Goddess of Protection, Fertility, the Halfling Race, Children, Security, Leadership, Family and Familial Love, Tradition, Community, Harmony, and Prosperity.
Those Halflings who decide to leave the plains and travel to a city or perhaps become an adventurer usually revere Fharlanghn, the God of Travel, or at least say a prayer to him at a crossroads before setting out away from home.
